What a blessing this time of year is!! The beautiful twinkling lights on the trees are lit, there are Christmas songs in the air, excitement and wonder filling our children’s hearts, the comforting aromas of cinnamon spice and baked goods fill our homes. We surround ourselves with family and friends to celebrate our Savior’s birth. While laughter and love is present, this time of yearcan also bring different emotions. Sadness, loneliness, heartbreak…the list can go on and on. I have experienced all of these feelings this season already. But God is so good and I hold on to His promises and hope! Deuteronomy 31:8 “The LORDhimself goesbeforeyou and will be withyou; he willneverleaveyou nor forsakeyou. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”I pray that the Lord will give you a sense of comfort, peace, joy, and hope this Christmas season. I pray we would treat each other with compassion and love and that Christ’s light would shine through us for all to see!! Emmanuel, God is with Us!
